How does one rate this movie...based on choreography and the fight scemes 8.....based on acting 3, script 5, production and cinematography 6, and add that up, it gets a solid 5.....still barely watchable. Oh well

A few good fight scenes but otherwise not worthy
Redeemer had the potential to be better than it was
(2014) Redeemer
(In Spanish with English subtitles)
ACTION
Co-written, edited and directed by Ernesto Díaz Espinoza, starring Marko Zaror, he plays the title character "Redeemer" coming to the aid of a local community fisherman, Agustin (Mauricio Diocares) in Chile. As gangsters are after him, we find out later, when they learned he found a bagful of money while he was fishing. At the same time, Agustin's sister, Antonia want to use the money to pay for his son's expensive heart operation, putting the Redeemer's plans on hold. The Redeemer of course, used to have a shady past as viewers see in brief flashbacks shown throughout the movie, as he used to have a proper name as Nicky Pardo and how he got to be called "Redeemer" in the first place. As it is somehow connected to another deadly, ruthless killer, Alacrán nicknamed as "Scorpion" played by José Luís Mósca.
Because the star Marko Zaror, himself is 6'2 that it can be hard to accept him as an actual fighter on film, but there are nicely staged fight scenes mixed with some gun battles.
Time for review
Ok, first of all: this is big nonsense(!) movie made just for entertaining and I spent 4Eur on prime to see people get beaten and killed by other :)
3 * for that!
-1 for cutting best scenes
Review:
Marko Zaror looks great, he's not Scott Adkins and there is no reach for undisputed series.
2 * for him.
Plot:
There is no plot.
Film:
Film is quite straight and nothing really happens. Unfortunately Zaror wasn't allowed to say more than like 3 words for 90 min.
Next time: more Zaror, less nothing.
+1 * to save this chance
