Even travelling from New York $15000 is at least 5 times too much for a hiliday in Malta. Landing looked like UK, airport looked american. A few scenes were filmed in Malta but the majority including hotel interior and vineyard were in NY with backgoround nothing like Malta or indeed Xmas time as too many leaves on the trees. Obvious to anyone who knows and loves Malta, very disappointed with the lack of local scenes. Having the actors travel to Malta and having a unit based there with a very productive film studio, why were the Maltese scenes not all filmed there. Some great aerial shots. Gives a very distorted picture of Malta and its people.

Malta scenes too few.
Very Harlequin Destination Romance Novel
Don't believe the haters! This is a lovely hallmark or lifetime style romcom, with tons of chemistry between the leads, and fun side characters. It's baffling to me that all of a sudden no one can suspend reality on a FICTIONal movie and its location to appraise the actual story and content?? All of a sudden everyone is a geospatial analyst and needs to know the exact coordinates this was filmed at?? Yes, it's set in Malta and they make a big deal of the characters getting there-BUT just like most budget holiday films set anywhere like the North Pole they're not filmed there! Or like idk every movie set in nyc but filmed in a studio in Burbank, or like Titanic (lol) this movie was not recorded in the exact geographical coordinates it's suppose to be in lmaooo. So all these 1-stars over location, location, location, are very weird.
The Maltese Coma
I get the feeling that some people had the idea: "Let's make a movie about Malta" ... and that's as far as they got.
There is no real story here. Girl meets boy. Sparks don't fly. Contrivance follows. They get together.
There are some nice beauty shots of Malta. But the movie clearly wasn't filmed anywhere close. Most shots look like somebody's neighborhood in upstate New York.
Production values are very limited. A new low in cheap is reached by having a character talk to her phone, instead of showing any action.
Can't comment on the acting. The script is so anemic that most instruction manuals are more exciting. Not much to work with there!
Your average Hallmark movie looks like Gone With the Wind compared to this snoozer. Get a travel video about Malta instead.
