I'm not sure what happened here. The beginning showed a lot of potential to carry on the first one.. but turned into a confused mess.

All of a sudden there was no gravity.. and what was the abstract bit with the kids??

The gore was fun and parts of it were touching.. but the plot holes were huge to the point you could almost fall through them.

It didn't explain itself as to how the protagonist was getting out. Honestly it's hard to review based off of the story as it was so all over the place.

Such a shame because I was really looking forward to it.. but unfortunately this is another sequal that should've stayed sweeter by not being made.

I don't think this film is for the average movie enjoyers such as myself. Even though the first movie ending left a lot of questions unanswered, I liked it. This sequel is of no difference. IMO, first movie showed us the consequences of capitalism and this one shows that socialism is no better. But where is the story in this? Where are the answers to the "normal" questions the fans had? Nothing was revealed. I'm disappointed. May be a sociopolitical expert can interpret it better than me. But for me, I needed some closure or answers and none were offered.

On a postive note, acting was good, nice plot to covey the intended message, not boring.

I really wanted to like this movie. I loved the first one and was hoping this one would expand and give us more information but it just gives us more questions and makes no sense.

Basic plot of this platform movie is there is a faction that has put rules in place that must be followed. Anyone going against the rules gets dealt with by everyone following the rules. That is easy enough to follow.

The plot holes develop when trying to figure out the bigger picture.

What is at the bottom of the pit? To me it seems like everyone at the bottom is dead. Does that mean the girl is also dead?

What is the purpose of all the scenes with children on the pyramid?

Why does a child appear at the bottom and what is the purpose of sending the child up with the platform?

Why does it end with the main guy from Platform 1 embracing the main girl in platfrom 2?

Even now I am thinking I need to watch both movies again as I must have missed the whole point but I am sure I am not going to be alone in not understanding the bigger picture of the movie.

Hopefully the writer comes out and explains it.
