Very entertaining. Never dull. Not for the squeamish. Noticeable Quentin Tarantino and Guy Richie influences, this film is perhaps even more violent. The director is also a Sergio Leone fan. Can't say enough about the incredible cinematography. If you ignore the buckets of blood, you can enjoy some truly beautiful (camera) shots.

Gory, yet quite amusing
Russian blood to the head
It's quite hard to categorise this film.
I've see it called a horror , a western and a comedy and i guess it's a but of all of those but one thing i'm in no doubt about and that this is a gem of a movie.
This is a Russian film about a young woman who asks her boyfriend to kill her father because he abused her as a child , (or so she says ), but when he gets to her fathers apartment he find's her old man is more than a match .
I love this film.
It's deliciously violent but not in a horrible way. There are buckets of blood and an amazing amount of brutality but never did i feel it was nasty.
It's almost like a cartoon. Not unlike Tom & Jerry or Road Runner .
Nobody dies easily , hence the title , and when they do it's actually funny , if that makes any sense?
It has a great soundtrack . There is classical music , modern music and even a Spaghetti western score.
I can't recommend this highly enough.
Don't let the subtitles put you off because it's all about the physicality and clever camera shots.
Tea and Cookies?
Matvei (Aleksandr Kuznetsov ) loves Olya (Evgeniya Kregzhde ). Her father Andrei (Vitaliy Khaev) is a large police detective. She tells Matvei about the forced incest. Matvei sets out to kill Andrei but fails leading to a lot of blood. He also discover Andrei has a large stash of US bills.
This is a Russian dark comedy with subtitles. I found it entertaining as the plot would turn. I was hoping for a more complex twist such as an enemy of Andrei had someone pretend to be his daughter to set up Matvei. Such was not the case.
